Aeration:
A mechanical action where plugs of
turf are removed that allows air, water, and
fertilizer to penetrate the lawn surface to
develop deeper, healthier turf grass roots.
Dethatching:
Vertical blades cut through the lawn
removing dead material. The thatch can
harbor diseases and prevent water
penetration
